I believe everything said made a ton of sense. But, what about this? what if you added a little information? I am not suggesting your content isn't solid., but what if you added something that makes people desire more? I mean BubbleUp Forum is a little vanilla. You could peek at Yahoo's front page and note how they write post headlines to grab people to open the links. You might add a video or a pic or two to grab people excited about everything've got to say. In my opinion, it might make your website a little bit more interesting.
