Love is an expertise during which the disjuncture between the infinite subjectivities of two individuals permits for the construction of a world ‘from the point of view of difference’ and ‘the building of the reality of the 2: the truth that derives from distinction as such’. Starting with the quasi-metaphysical event of the completely contingent encounter, love is the construction of a world from a standpoint ‘other than that of my mere impulse to survive or re-affirm my own identity’.
