قبل التعليق على حكم التجارة في العملات الرقمية في العراق يجدر بنا الإشارة أولا إلى القرار الذي أصدره البنك المركزي العراقي عبر الموقع الإلكتروني الرسمي الخاص به حول العملات الرقمية. حيث أشار إلى كون تلك العملات تنطوي على العديد من المخاطر. لا سيما ما يخص الاحتيال والقرصنة الإلكترونية مما دفع البنك المركزي إلى إصدار قرار بتعميم منع استخدامها. فهي عملات إلكترونية افتراضية يتم تداولها عبر شبكة الإنترنت فقط في هيئة بيانات وأرقام مشفرة وليس لها وجود مادي حقيقي، والسماح باستخدامها قد يؤدي إلى اندثار العملات الورقية في المستقبل.حكم التجارة في العملات الرقمية في العراق
على جانبٍ آخر يعارض بعض المختصون في العملات الرقمية قرار البنك المركزي العراقي. حيث يرى البعض أن البنك لم يترك بديلا عن تلك العملات الرقمية خاصة مع وجود العديد من المستثمرين العراقيين الذين يتداولون باستخدام العملات الرقمية بملايين الدولارات يوميا عبر منصات التداول العالمية. ولذلك يدعو البعض إلى قيام البنوك المركزية في الدول العربية بإصدار عملات رقمية خاصة بهم لضمان تنظيم التعاملات التي تتم باستخدامها.
