Title: Trying to get ready for permit test
Post by: Jenkins Anna on August 11, 2025, 11:10:51 am
Hi guys! My Minnesota permit test is coming up, and I don’t want to walk in unprepared. I’ve been reading the handbook, but I’m worried that won’t be enough. I’m looking for something that feels close to the real exam so I can practice under similar conditions. Any suggestions?

Hey! I totally get where you’re coming from - I had the same worry before my test. What made a huge difference for me was using NextDoorDriving. They’ve got a free simulator designed for the Minnesota DMV permit test, and it’s as close to the real thing as you can get. It gives you 40 realistic questions, just like the actual exam, and the setup makes you feel like you’re sitting in front of the real testing screen. You can keep practicing here (https://nextdoordriving.com/minnesota/mn-dmv-permit-test-simulator) as many times as you want, and the questions shuffle so you’re always seeing new scenarios. I found that after a few days of practice, I wasn’t just memorizing answers - I was actually understanding the rules. When test day came, it felt familiar, and I passed with no problem.
